The German Freight Forwarders’ Standard Terms and Conditions 2017 (ADSp 2017) are the industry-standard terms and conditions for the carriage of goods in Germany and regulate the rights and obligations of the contracting parties as well as the liability for damages or losses. We, as freight forwarders, adhere to the ADSp 2017 and make them part of our contracts with our clients. We point out that the ADSp 2017 deviate from the legal provisions of the Commercial Code (HGB) in some points and especially the liability limits for cargo damage are lower than provided for in the HGB. We therefore recommend that you familiarize yourself with the ADSp 2017 and, if necessary, take out additional transport insurance. We are happy to assist you with any further questions or concerns.
